Advocate Christ Medical Center, formerly known as Christ Hospital, is the place where one voice, the voice of a woman who believed her employer was standing on a higher moral ground, discovered the almighty dollar meant more to hospital officials than the value of human life. Jill Stanek, an RN working in the Labor and Delivery Department of Christ Hospital, was confronted with the painful truth about hospital policy regarding abortion.
Upon her realization that Christ Hospital was performing abortions, as well as leaving babies born alive during abortion procedures to die, Jill went to hospital officials and pleaded her case on deaf ears. The very name of the hospital defies how this could happen, but it did.
Little did Stanek know that this controversy would pave the way for her to become one of the most prominent prolife advocates in the United States of America!
Unable to make inroads with her employer privately, Stanek went public, exposing the hospitals misdoings. She ended up on the talk show circuit and was present when President George W. Bush signed the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act.
Today, Stanek remains one of the most hated public figures in the pro-abortion movement. She is a force to be reckoned with, who’s voice will not be silenced. More than that, Jill Stanek is a role model for all of us and should be an inspiration, that we too will refuse to be silent as long as babies, no matter how small, are dying on demand.
